This morning at Mini Rugby, a special presentation was made to Ann in recognition of her incredible dedication and hard work at Monivea RFC. Over the past couple of years, Ann has been volunteering her time, taking care of tasks like maintaining the yellow container, cleaning the toilets, washing the senior team’s jerseys, and ensuring the pitch stays clean and tidy.

We are truly grateful for the time and effort Ann puts in every single week. Often working behind the scenes, her contributions may go unnoticed by many, but her impact is felt by all.

Thank you so much, Ann! Your commitment and care do not go unappreciated. We’re lucky to have you!

In a replay of last year’s final our U18.5 Gort/Monivea Girls this time took home the BOI Division 2 title beating a determined Corinthians team in Dunmore today. It was a tight game with Corinthians leading at half time 5-12 with a first half try from Roisin N. Our girls didn’t give up and with 2 tries from Kaylee DB and Molly G and a conversion from Hazel B we came out on top. Both clubs would like to thank all the coaches, volunteers, families, supporters and players for their continued belief and support for girls rugby. We’d also like the thank O’Connor racing for sponsoring our Gort/Monivea jerseys which look fabulous and really cement the girls as a team. Thanks to @galwaycrfc for an epic battle as always. @gort_rfc @connachtwomensrugby #girlsrugby #womeninsport #irishrugby

Monivea u14's had a friendly against Galway Bay in Dangan yesterday and delivered a brilliant performance against a higher division opponent. With some players being unavailable, a number of the squad had to play in positions that would not normally be their regular position. But this did not deter them one bit, and it is a testament to their coaches that their play was as seamless as usual. A great performance to set them up for the second half of the season! Thanks to @galwaybayrugby for hosting.

Monivea RFC send our heartfelt condolences to the family of Michael (Miney) Harnett. May he rest in peace.
Reposing at Harnett’s Funeral Home, The Square, Abbeyfeale (V94 AK44) on Sunday, 8th December, from 5.00 p.m. until 8.00 p.m. Funeral cortège will depart his mother Nancy’s residence, The Hill, Abbeyfeale on Monday, 9th December, at 10.00 a.m. to The Church of the Assumption, Abbeyfeale, to arrive for Requiem Mass at 11.00 a.m.
